Children's Museum in Ventura County

Dr. Phil Hampton wears many hats, and is known around Ventura County as the "Science Guy." Phil is passionate about increasing access to early exposure to STEM education, and does so through his tireless work throughout the region.

Phil is a founding professor of Chemistry at California State University Channel Islands, and has been working for the past 16 years to ensure that students from Preschool to Graduate School (P-20) have the highest quality access to STEM, both inside and outside of the classroom.

Additionally, Phil serves as the Director of the Ventura County STEM (VC STEM) network that seeks to improve educational outcomes in STEM throughout Ventura County. One of VC STEM's programs is the STEM Experiences for Educators and Leaders (SEEL) program which provides PK-8th grade teachers and informal educators with the opportunity to experience the Science Carnival activities with access to comprehensive implementation of the curriculum.

From 5-8 pm on Saturday, November 4, kidSTREAM will be at Rio Vista Middle School in Oxnard for the Annual Science Carnival and SEEL program (starting at 3pm). KidSTREAM will be in charge of the Giant Bubbles activity for the second year, and we'd love to have you and your family come out to play and learn. Check out the flier for details.
