Barry A. Van Deman is an accomplished nonprofit executive who has led organizational change
efforts, strategic planning, and growth in six museums. With a lifelong passion for science and
science education, Barry applied his experience and expertise as CEO, grant maker, author,
consultant, teacher, board member, and volunteer. Over the course of his career, he held
leadership roles in museums, associations, and federal government, as well as in teaching and
school administration, K-12 and undergraduate and graduate levels.

Barry is serving as Interim CEO of kidSTREAM. He is a Certified Interim Executive who most
recently served as Interim at the Cayton Children’s Museum in Santa Monica.
